Air Valve Spool Assembly (continued)
Install the Spool Assembly
17. Install the spool assembly (7) into the gun body.
18. Install the spool return spring (7a) into the spool.
See Fig. 44, page 28.

INJECTION AND HOT MATERIAL
HAZARDS
To reduce the risk of serious injury or
property damage, be sure the spool re-
turn spring (7a) is in place before installing the gun
cover (2a). If the spring is not properly installed, the
gun will fail open.
19. Assemble the gun as instructed on page 28 if no
further maintenance or service is required.
Trigger Switch
If the gun will not actuate, the trigger switch may need
replacement.
NOTE: A Repair Kit, part no. 237–621, is available.

1. Remove the gun from the production line as
instructed on page 18.

2. Remove the screws (39) and cover (2a) from the
back of the gun. See Fig. 43.
NOTE: Removing the cover will unplug the trigger
switch electrical connector (Q) and may cause the
spool return spring (7a) to fall out of place. See
Fig. 44, page 28.
3. Remove the retaining clip (22), trigger pin (21),
and trigger (19).
4. Unscrew the trigger actuator pin (20).
5. Using a screw driver, pry the trigger switch (9) out
of the gun handle and remove the complete switch
assembly.
6. Insert the leads (R) on the new trigger switch (9)
through the gun handle as shown in Fig. 43.
7. Align the threaded hole in the bottom of the trigger
switch (9) with the hole in the bottom of the gun
handle. Then push the trigger switch into the gun
handle until it seats.
8. Insert the trigger actuator pin (20) through the bot-
tom of the gun handle and screw it into the trigger
switch (9).
9. Position the trigger (19) on the gun body, slide the
trigger pin (21) through the pivot hole, and secure
it with the retainer clip (22).
10. Assemble the gun as instructed on page 28 if no
further maintenance or service is required.
