Air Valve Spool Assembly

WARNING
INJECTION AND HOT MATERIAL
HAZARDS
The piston and spool o-rings must be
lubricated approximately every 100,000
cycles to reduce the risk of piston failure. If the fail-
ure occurs when the gun is triggered, fluid may
continue to flow, which could cause serious injury
or property damage.
NOTE: Repair Kits, part no. 236–308 and 237–619,
are available. See page 33.
1. Remove the gun from the production line as
instructed on page 18.
2. Remove the screws (39) and cover (2a) from the
back of the gun. See Fig. 32, page 22.
NOTE: Removing the cover will unplug the trigger
switch electrical connector (Q) and may cause the
spool return spring (7a) to fall out of place.
3. Remove the spool return spring (7a). Refer to
Fig. 40.
4. Screw the spool removal tool (AA) into the
exposed back end of the spool assembly (7) and
pull it out of the gun body. See Fig. 39.
5. Inspect the o-rings (7b, 7c, 7d) for wear. See
Fig. 40. If the o-rings are worn, replace them with
the o-rings in the repair kit.
NOTE: The internal spool o-rings and spacers should
be inspected every 1 to 1.5 million cycles. See the pro-
cedure on page 26.
Service
6. Lubricate the areas specified in Fig. 40 with lithium
grease.
