Internal Spool O-Rings and Spacers
8. Remove the spool housing (14) with the air valve
hook (CC). See Fig. 41 and 42.
9. Remove the o-ring (28) from inside the spool hous-
ing (14) and inspect it for wear. Replace the o-ring
if worn, lubricate it with lithium grease and reinstall
it.
10. Remove the three o-rings (30) from the gun body.
Inspect them for wear and replace them if needed,
but do not install them yet.

11. To remove the first o-ring (31) and spacer (26),
use the air valve hook (CC) to pull the first spacer
out of the gun. The o-ring will be pushed out ahead
of the spacer. Note the orientation of the spacer as
it must be reinstalled the same way. See Fig. 42.
12. Remove the other two o-ring (31) and spacer (27,
26) sets one at a time, using the same method
described in step 11. Note the orientation of the
last spacer (26) as it must be reinstalled the same
way.
13. Remove the last o-ring (31) with the air valve
hook (CC).

14. Replace all the o-rings. Lubricate them with lithium
grease and use the air valve hook (CC) to guide
the o-rings into the spool cavity and to make sure
they seat flatly. Install the parts in the following
order and orientate them as shown in Fig. 42:
a. O-Ring (31)
b. Spacer (26), small diameter facing out
c. O-Ring (31)
d. Spacer (27)
e. O-Ring (31)
f.
Spacer (26), small diameter facing in
g. O-Ring (31)
CAUTION
The direction the first and last spacers face is criti-
cal for proper air valve operation. The small diame-
ter of each spacer must face each other as shown
in Fig. 42.
15. Lubricate the three o-rings (30) with lithium grease
and install them in the gun body.
16. Install the spool housing (14) into the gun body.
