Hose Guard Installation
For Briggs & Stratton - 14HP Vanguard Engine Option
Your Engine Drive will require a Hose Guard (Item #1) to be installed, this will prevent any heat transfer from the
engine exhaust to the Upper Hose.
To install the Hose Guard, align the bolt holes of the Hose Guard (Item #1) to those located on the Blower Housing,
refer to Figure A. Once aligned and position, secure the Hose Guard by using (2) 1/4"-20 x 1-1/4" HHCS GR8 (Item
#2) and (2) 1/4"-20 Flange Nuts (Item #3) .
Note the position of the Hose Guard relative to the position of the Blower Housing.
