Using the Self-Propel Drive

To operate the self-propel drive, squeeze the self-propel lever (1) toward the handle and hold it. Figure 12.

Self-Propel Lever
To disengage the self-propel drive, release the self-propel lever.
When the self-propel drive lever is disengaged the mower may be pushed. This feature is useful when
mowing in confined areas.

Bagging the Grass Clippings

Use the grass bag when you want to collect grass and leaf clippings from the lawn.

Installing the Grass Bag

1. Raise and hold up the rear deflector (A of 13).
2. Install the grass bag, ensuring that the pins on the bag rest in the notches on the handle (B of 13).
3. Lower the rear deflector.

Removing the Grass Bag

1. To remove the bag, reverse the steps in Installing the Grass Bag.
