Modules

The RUGGEDCOM RSG2488F features slots for up to eight field-replaceable line modules, which can be used to
expand and customize the capabilities of the device to suit specific applications. A variety of modules are available,
each featuring a specific type of communication port: copper Ethernet, fiber optic Ethernet and Small Form-factor
Pluggable (SFP). A Precision Time Protocol (PTP) module for accurate clock synchronization is also available.
Modules can be installed in any one of the available slots in the device chassis.
Use the ROS-F software to determine which ports are equipped on the device. For more information, refer to the
ROS-F User Guide for the device.
