To modify one or more data into Date and Time programming screen, use 4 keys to select the field to
change (selected field's characters are in white on a dark background). Use  keys to modify data and
enter
key to store the new one.
N.B.: date and time are reset to zero in case of UDS-3 power loss.

1. EXTINGUISHING INHIBITION
Possible causes that can bring into release inhibition condition are the following:
Emergency extension device line fault
Emergency interruption device line fault
Release outputs exclusion
In display's main screen, in each zone's lower part, "RELEASE INHIBITED" label will be shown to indicate it
will not be possible to release.
2. LOW PRESSURE FAULT
Agent loss is signalled enabling plant block output
In case of alarm, release output is still performed
Fault condition is not self-resetting
3. ONLY MANUAL MODE
If enabled during pre-activation condition, a possible alarm signal coming from terminal board (ALL1-
ALL2) or from loop (depending on the case) is ignored and extinguishing activation can only be
performed by "Manual activation input".
4. EXTINGUISHING ACTIVATION FROM LOOP OR FROM INPUTS
Analogy between terminal board alarm input and CMX input modules emulated in UDS-3 is the following:
ALARM 1 analog to CMX/1
ALARM 2 analog to CMX/2
Activation condition is given by:
ALARM 1 active and ALARM 2 active;
CMX/1 active and CMX/2 active
Not in the following cases:
ALARM 1 active and CMX/2 active;
CMX/1 active and ALARM 2 active
5. FLOWMETER INPUT MANAGEMENT
Enabling flowmeter management, even with input zone in standby, its activation brings UDS-3 into release
phase for that zone.
N.B.: To avoid release output activation during programming of NC-NA type of this input, this
operation can only be performed after extinguishing output exclusion
6. EXTINGUISHING OUTPUT ACTIVATION FROM RAPID FLOW VALVE
For each zone, extinguishing release can be performed in manual mode acting on the rapid flow valve
(release activation is not given by inputs) and is managed by UDS-3 in the following way:
If there is no release output inhibition cause and flowmeter input is active during standby condition or
pre-activated condition, or during pre-release phase, UDS-3 immediately gets into release condition
enabling signalling and release outputs with programmed modes.
If instead release outputs inhibition causes are presents, like for example exclusions, or emergency
input device is enabled, if flowmeter input activates, UDS-3 manages only signalling for the
interested zone (release in progress warning with led activation, sounder output activation, release
indication on display) but does not activate release outputs
7. SOUNDER OUTPUT
For each release zone, if flowmeter signal activation brings zone into release condition, sounder output
activates even if it was previously excluded.
