8.2.
Recommendations
•
Use only regeneration salts designed for water softening in accordance with EN973.
•
For optimal system operation, the use of clean salt, free from impurities, is recommended (for
example salt pellets).
•
Do not use ice melt, block, or rock salts.
•
The sanitizing process (both with liquid and electrochlorination) may introduce chlorine
compounds which may reduce the lifetime of the ion exchange resins. Refer to the technical
guides for resins in common use, providing necessary checks on the system.
8.3.
Manual regeneration

The controller must be in service in order to enable this procedure.
8.3.1. Manual delayed regeneration

once for delayed regeneration.
→ The regeneration starts on the programmed regeneration time. See chapter 6.4.14.

→ The blue LED flashes and the letters RGQ take place on the valve state.

8.3.2. Immediate regeneration

To advance regeneration cycles

8.5.
Operation during a power failure
•
All the program settings are stored in a permanent memory.
•
Current valve position, cycle step time elapsed, and time of day are stored during a power
failure, and will be restored upon power restoration.
•
Time is kept during a power failure and the time of day is adjusted upon restoration of the power
(as long as the power is restored within 12 hours).
•
The time of day on the main display screen will flash for 5 minutes when there has been a power
failure.
•
The flashing of the time of day can be stopped by pressing any button on the display.
