General Maintenance Information

Operational safety and environmental protection

You must carry out the checks and mainte-
nance operations outlined in this section at
the intervals set out in the service plan.
Modifying this truck, especially its safety de-
vices, is prohibited. You must not change
the work parameters of this truck.
Only original equipment meets with compa-
ny quality assurance requirements. To en-
sure the equipment's stability and opera-
tional performance, you must only use origi-
nal equipment manufactured by our compa-
ny. You must handle old components and

Repairs and maintenance personnel
Maintenance and repairs on the truck should
only be carried out by qualified personnel who
are authorised by our company.
Lifting and jacking equipment
When lifting the truck, the lifting device can
only be installed on the fixed positions as
specified.
When jacking up the truck, appropriate tools
such as chocks and wooden blocks must be
used to secure the truck and prevent it from
accidentally rolling or tipping over.
When working under a raised load-bearing
component, sufficiently strong chains or safety
devices must be used to secure the forks.
Cleaning operations
Do not use combustible liquids to clean the
truck.
You must take all safety precautions before
you start cleaning and you must prevent
sparks from being produced during work pro-
cesses (such as from short circuits). If the
truck is powered by a battery, you must dis-
connect it from the battery cable connections.

Once you have completed checking and
servicing, you must check the alarm sys-
tem, emergency off switch and brake func-
tion. You must also lubricate in accordance

When cleaning electronics and electrical com-
ponents, you must use low-strength suction
gas or compressed air. You should also use a
non-conductive, anti-static brush to clean dust
off component surfaces.
If you use a water hose or high-pressure
equipment to clean the truck, you must first
carefully seal all electronics and electrical
components, otherwise these components
may get wet and malfunction.
Do not use steam cleaning equipment.
Once you have finished cleaning, you must
check the alarm, emergency off switch, and
brake performance. You must also lubricate
the truck according to its maintenance sche-
matics.
Working on the electrical system
Work on the electrical system must be carried
out by professionally trained electricians.
Before commencing work, the operator must
take all necessary measures to prevent elec-
trical accidents.
If the truck is powered by a battery, the key
switch must be removed to prevent the truck
from being accidentally started.
