Moving the Printer

Moving the printer in a short distance

Be sure to check the following points:
• The power switch is turned off.
• The power cable is unplugged from the wall outlet.
• The interface cable is unplugged from the printer.

If the external options are installed, remove them.
See the Option Setup Guide and follow the steps backwards for removing op-
tions. For removing the Duplex Unit, Finisher and 4-bin Mailbox, follow the
steps below.
A Removing the Duplex Unit
Remove the two stoppers to release the supporting bar. Hold the unit with both
hands and move it towards the left (B) while pressing down the lever (A).
B Removing the Finisher
Open the Bypass Tray and the Duplex Unit. Then open the right covers of
the printer and the Interchange Unit.
Remove the three screws that are fastening the printer and the Finisher.
Press the two levers shown in the illustration to release the lock.
Hold the Finisher with both hands, and then slowly pull it out of the printer.
