4.2.2 – PE-10 switch setup (optional component)
The optional PE-10 switch can be installed on any M20 Series measurement
columns, directly connected to the 10-bit I/O interface, as shown in Picture 19.
This external switch allows the operator to send command requests to the equipment
with a simple switch toggle. Usual applications include data request (to the USB/RS232
Port), needle clean-up routine and setup/product switch.

Note: Invalid switch combinations are ignored by the input interface.

Within the PE-10 connector there is a 10-bit Dip-
Switch. Each position is directly mapped to an input
pin of the input interface and can be activated (ON
position) or disabled (OFF position), as required.
The actual function of each pin is defined by the
working mode of the input interface (see 4.2.1 – Digital
interfaces working modes for details).
