NOTE: All references in this manual to the left or right
side of the log splitter is from the operating position only.
Exceptions, if any, will be specified.
NOTE: Many of the following items may already be
assembled when you receive this unit. If this is the case,
proceed to the next steps where applicable.
Assembling the Tongue
Attaching the Adjustable Jack Stand
1. Remove the four hex bolts and lock nuts for securing
adjustable jack stand from hardware pack.
2. Place adjustable jack stand halfway between beam
support/latch bracket and end of tongue. See Figure
3-1.
3. Insert hex bolts through top holes in jack stand mount-
ing brackets and holes in the adjustable jack stand.
Secure with lock nuts.
4. Insert hex bolts through upper holes in the bottom
of the mounting brackets and adjustable jack stand.
Secure with lock nuts.
5. The adjustable jack stand is raised by turning the
crank clockwise and lowered by turning counter-clock-
wise.
Attaching the Tongue
1. With the log splitter still standing upright, remove two
hex bolts and hex nuts from the tank bracket. See
Figure 3-2.
2. Align the holes in the tongue with the holes in the tank
bracket and secure with hardware just removed. See
Figure 3-2.
NOTE: High pressure hose must be above the tongue
assembly.
Connecting Cylinder to Beam
The log splitter is shipped with the beam in the vertical
position.
1. Pull out the vertical beam lock (A), rotate it back, and
pivot the beam to the horizontal position until it locks
(B). See Figure 3-3.
2. Disconnect the dislodger from the beam weld bracket
by removing the six hex screws. See Figure 3-4.
3. Disconnect the log cradle from the beam on the side
of the control valve. See Figure 3-5.
