3. Select the menu item Update and backup in the menu Configuration.
4. Select the [Create backup file] button.
5. Enter a password to encrypt the backup file and confirm with [Create and download
backup file]. Please note that the password will be needed later for importing the backup file.
☑ An Ibd file with all parameter settings will be downloaded.
Importing a backup file
The backup file will be imported when commissioning a new or reset product. After you have
connected the product with the local network, the login page of the user interface opens.
Requirements:
☐ A new or reset product must be available.
☐ The backup file and the corresponding password must be available.
☐ Should the backup file be reused in a reset product, the file name must not be changed.
Procedure:
1. Select [Start restoration] on the login page of the user interface.
☑ The installation assistant will open.
2. Follow the installation assistant steps and, at the appropriate point, select the previously saved
Ibd file. Note that the backup file password will be needed here.
3. Confirm with [Upload backup file].
☑ The Ibd file with all parameter settings will be uploaded to the product. The product
restarts automatically. This process can take several minutes.
8.12 Configuring Sunny Tripower CORE2
The Data Manager can control the inverter Sunny Tripower CORE2 (STP 110-60). The Modbus
TCP protocol is used here in accordance with information model 123 of the SunSpec Modbus
standard. This allows the operation of active power and reactive power with control intervals of
1000 ms.
Requirements:
☐ All devices in the local network must be in operation and connected to the product via an
Internet router.
☐ The inverters must have the current firmware version in each case (see the inverter product
page of the PV inverter at www.SMA-Solar.com).
☐ The country data set each valid must be set.
Procedure:
1. Log into the user interface of the Data Manager.
2. On the system level in the Configuration menu, select the Parameters menu item and for the
parameter Call interval for the control at the system level the value 1.0.
3. Select the menu item Device administration in the menu Configuration.
4. In the row of the required inverter, select the
