MCU Card Management

This section describes how to manage the MCU modules. In particular, the
chapter describes the following tasks:
Listing the installed modules

Viewing the module parameters

Listing the cards units and options

Reset an MCU

The MCU must be connected in order to perform the above tasks. For details,
see Chapter 3, "Connecting to an MCU" on page 3-8.
The MGC-25 can contain several functional module cards. Each module is
automatically identified by the system, as well as the versions of the programs
embedded in it. These parameters can be viewed in the card Properties - Card
Settings dialog box.
Table 9-4 lists the available functional modules.

Interfaces between the MGC unit and the ISDN or T1 CAS

MUX+ Module
Multiplexes and demultiplexes audio and data information.
It performs channel aggregation (inverse multiplexing) and
video processing in Video Switching conferences.
AUDIO7 Module
Performs audio compression, decompression, bridging
and DTMF tones.
VIDEO6 Module
Optional, depending on configuration. Performs video
compression and decompression.
