Bump stop visual inspection
1. Check the bump stop (fig. 18, item 3) for porous
spots, cracks and other damage.
2. A damaged bump stop must be replaced.
3. Use the new banjo screw provided for attachment.
!
Do not use a regular screw for securing the bump
stop. It would not provide the safety function of the
sealing device.

Safety valve function test:
i
Function tests of the safety valves on the sealing
device must be performed annually.
i
Use only cleaned and filtered compressed air (filter
< 25 µm) and a maximum test pressure of 3 bar for
the function test.

Procedure:
1. Before the test, make sure the knurled nuts of the
safety valves are tightened.
2. Position the compressed-air gun on the banjo screw
on the bump stop (fig. 18, item 3).
3. Activate compressed-air gun briefly. Use the
procedure repeatedly if necessary. The safety valves
of the sealing device must open. The function is
indicated by the sound of compressed air escaping.
"
The function test will be complete, and the sealing
device will be ready for operation again.
!
Stop using the sealing device if a safety valve is
defective.
!
The separable safety module can be replaced
