3. Remove Protective Covering
With the camera handpiece
properly installed, hold the
sheath at the monocoil
connection. With your opposite
hand, remove the protective cover
by pulling the colored tab up and
over the distal end of the
handpiece, and down the back
side in one continuous motion as
shown. Discard the protective
covering. The camera handpiece
is barriered and ready for normal
use.
WARNING
Before using the camera, examine the installed disposable sheath on the
camera for evidence of rupture. If the sheath is ruptured or pierced,
immediately remove and install a new sheath.
4. Proper Focus Ring Adjustment
WARNING
The AcuCam barrier sheaths are designed with a large clearance in order to
facilitate focus adjustments while sheathed. Lifting the sheath to adjust the
focus ring compromises the barrier method of infection control.
