1. INDICATIONS FOR USE The eZ1 is an intraoral camera system specifically designed for easy intraoral dental examinations, with an extremely lightweight Handpiece, automatic brightness adjustment and fixed focus. The eZ1 system allows freezing images of interest through the “soft-touch” feature embedded in the Handpiece, or through the optional footswitch. -

3. INSTALLATION 3.1. Connection of the eZ1 with memory docking station • Connect the video cable (S-Video) between the memory docking station (eZ MEM) and the video input of your monitor. The monitor must be s-video compatible. • Connect the linking cable between the eZ MEM and the Handpiece. -

Caution: This holster is equipped with magnets; do not install close to devices sensitive to magnetic fields, such as the cathode screens. Note: Gendex offers an optional Delivery Unit Mounting Kit for the holster, consisting of a back-plate and 2 adjusting screws to be mounted to a common dental chair if desired. -

4.2. Soft – Touch The eZ1 camera handpiece is provided with a sensitive area, identified by a feather symbol and surrounded by embossed dots for easy tactile location. By gently sliding the finger over the sensitive area, it is possible to freeze images of interest. Touch the sensitive area again to release the frozen image. -

In case you prefer to operate the camera with a footswitch instead of using the Soft-Touch feature located in the camera Handpiece, an Optional Footswitch is available from Gendex. The footswitch features two controls: Capture - “C” (blue) and Memory - “M” (red). -

5. USING THE SOFTWARE The eZ1 Camera SOFTWARE DRIVER must be installed on the computer in order to see any video stream on the computer screen. Even if not required for the live video streaming, an imaging software (i.e. VixWinPRO) may be used to handle the images saved on the hard drive. -

Toque Suave (Soft-Touch) La eZ1 sonda de la cámara esta proveida con una área sensitiva, identificada por el símbolo de una pluma dentro del contorno de puntos en alto relieve para facilitar la ubicación táctil. Solo deslizando suavemente el dedo sobre el área sensitiva, es posible congelar imágenes de interes. -

Tome la sonda de la cámara fuera de su soporte para activar la aplicación de video de Gendex en el monitor de su PC. El flujo de la imágen en vivo será mostrada. Presione el Toque Suave (Soft-Touch) localizado en la sonda de la cámara para congelar la imágen en la pantalla de la computadora. -
