average magnification, and clinical purpose.

The focus ring is easily
adjusted without visual
assistance. The
Extraoral view is the very
last setting when
rotating the focus ring to
the left. Use this
position as the starting
point for selecting any
other setting. One click
to the right is the Wide
position. Two clicks to
the right is the Close-up
position and beyond
that is the Macro view.
It is best to select the focus position you desire first, then examine the patient
(except in Macro view).
NOTE: Unlike the fixed focus modes, in Macro view it's easier to position the
camera and then adjust the focus ring. Due to the high magnification,
steadying the camera is paramount to obtaining a good image.
