Safety Precautions

Use an appropriate low voltage power cable to prevent fire or electrical shock.
Make sure to install the camera in an area that can support the camera weight.
There are no user serviceable parts inside the camera. Please do not disassemble the camera.
Do not clean the lens cover with an abrasive cleaning material. Please use a soft cloth to clean the lens cover.

Installing the Camera

ATTENTION - Test the camera prior to selecting a permanent mounting location by temporarily connecting the camera(s) and cables to the DVR.

To install the camera:

Use the included Allen key to loosen the dome cover from the camera base.
Rotate the camera base counterclockwise to separate it from the ball camera and dome cover.
Use the camera base to drill holes for the cables and mounting screws.
NOTE: Insert the included drywall anchors if installing the camera in drywall.
Feed the BNC / power cable through the camera base. Connect the video and power cable as shown in the next section 'Setting up the Camera'.
Mount the camera base to the wall or ceiling using the included screws.
Position the dome cover over the camera and screw it clockwise halfway onto the camera base.
Move the ball camera to the desired position. While holding the ball camera firmly in place, screw the dome cover the rest of the way to secure it to the camera base. Holding the camera prevents it from moving while installing the dome cover.
Use the included Allen key to tighten the dome cover.

Setting up the Camera

Connect the BNC connector of the camera to the video cable.
DC Power—Power Adapter: Connect a 12V DC Power Adapter (not included) to the camera. Plug the Power Adapter into a local power outlet.

DC Power—Power Pigtail (not included): Connect a Power Pigtail to the camera. Connect the terminating wires of the cable directly to the DC power source.

NOTE: For pigtail connection with 12V DC, make sure to check polarity specifications on the power adapter.

A REGULATED UL / CSA APPROVED 12V DC power supply is REQUIRED for use with this camera. Use of a non-regulated, non-conforming power supply can damage this product and voids the warranty.

Use the included flat-head screwdriver to adjust the ZOOM and FOCUS control screws as required.
Insert rubber weatherproofing plugs (2x) firmly into the ZOOM and FOCUS screw-holes to ensure a weatherproof seal.
