WARNING
The regrinding and balancing of the cutter bar must be carried out by an
authorised workshop. An incorrectly ground and unbalanced blade can cause
strong vibrations and damage the lawn mower.

The cutting edges of the cutter bar may only be reground until the respective value
(see figure Q) or the marking (1) on the cutter bar (ring) has been reached.
Attention! Observe the grinding angle of 30°. Your workshop can check this value
(wear limit) for you!

The replacing of the cutter bar must be carried out by an authorised
workshop. Due to an incorrectly assembled blade coupling or an excessively
or insufficiently tightened blade screw, the cutter bar may become loose,
which can lead to serious injuries.

For replacement, use only original cutter bars. Non-equivalent spare parts can
damage the machine and are a safety hazard.
Replacement cutter bars must be permanently marked with the name and/or
company logo of the manufacturer or supplier and the part number.

Lubricate the wheel bearings every 50 operating hours.
Pull the drive wheels from the wheel axle after loosening the nut and removing
the dust cap.
Remove the wheel cover; watch out for the thrust washer while doing so.
Remove the dirt from the wheel cover, the freewheel sprocket on the gear shaft
and the sprocket on the inside of the wheel.
NOTE
Do not remove the freewheel sprocket from the gear shaft!

Grease the wheel axle using the roller bearing grease "KAJO-Langzeitfett LZR
2". Do not grease the freewheel sprocket and the sprocket in the wheel!
Attach the wheel cover and push the thrust washer onto the wheel axle. When
fitting the drive wheel, make sure that pinion and sprocket engage; slightly twist
the wheel on the axle, if necessary.
Attach the dust cap, fasten using the hexagonal nut and tighten so that the
wheels can turn easily but without play.

WARNING
Avoid injuries! Engine exhaust fumes contain carbon monoxide and can cause
serious illness or death.
Do not run an engine in an enclosed area, such as a garage, even with doors
and windows open. Move the machine to an outside area before starting the
engine.

For explanation of symbols, see
the table on page 3
IMPORTANT
For cleaning and maintenance work, do not put the engine and/or mower on
the side, but tilt it up at the front O (spark plug up); otherwise, starting
difficulties may occur. Secure the mower in the raised position!
Pos: 21.6 /Innente il/Wartun g des Moto rs/Wa rtu ng des Mo tors Text hoc hkippen @ 34\mod _14 1032 946 756 6_6.do cx @ 24 781 0 @ @ 1
ATTENTION
When tilting the machine upwards, ensure that no oil or fuel comes out of the
machine. Fire hazard!
The regular implementation of the prescribed maintenance and care work are the
prerequisite for a permanent and fault-free functionality of the engine and also the
basic requirement for any guarantee claims. The engine should be kept clean,
particularly on the outside, and the silencer and cylinder area must always be kept
free from foreign bodies (e.g. grass residue). The engine and exhaust reach very
high temperatures during operation. Flammable foreign bodies such as leaves,
grass etc. may catch fire. Perfect cooling can also only be ensured when cylinder
ribs are always clean.
IMPORTANT
Never use a pressure cleaner or ordinary water jet to clean the engine.
Damages or expensive repairs can be the consequence.

The first oil change in a new engine is required after approx. 5 operating hours.
Later, it should be done every 50 operating hours or at least once per mowing
season.
Before the engine or the device is tilted to drain oil, empty the petrol tank and
let the engine run until it stops due to lack of fuel.
Stop the engine and remove the spark plug connector.
Change the oil as long as the engine is warm.
For oil change, remove the dipstick from the oil filling nozzle.
-
Place the mower to the side so that the spark plug side is at the top and the
waste oil is drained into a collecting vessel.
Do not drain used oil into the sewage system or soil; dispose of it
according to the local regulations.
Put up the mower and fill in brand oil at the connector (for quantity and quality
refer to the technical data). Screw in the dipstick and check the oil level (see
"Checking the oil level" and "Filling with oil", figure Y1)! If the oil level is
correct, insert the dipstick and tighten it.

Loosen the air filter cover lock (4) with a screwdriver from the air filter housing
(1) and remove the air filter cover (3).
Remove the filter (2).
Clean the filter every 50 operational hours. In case of minor contamination, tap
out gently on a smooth surface. In case of severe contamination or damage,
renew the filter(s). Do not wash out or blast out the paper filter using
compressed air and do not oil it.
Insert the filter (2).
Attach the air filter cover (3) onto the filter and let the air filter cover lock (4)
engage in the air filter housing (1).
In the case of unfavourable operation conditions (severe formation of dust), cleaning
is required after every mowing job. Replace the air filter annually or every 200
operating hours. (For the air filter order number, refer to original spare parts and
accessories)

To check for wear, remove the spark plug connector and screw out the spark plug.
If the electrode is badly worn, the spark plug must be replaced as a matter of course
(for order no. see original spare parts list and accessories). Otherwise it is sufficient
to clean the spark plug with a steel brush and set the electrode gap to between
0.7 – 0.8 mm. Screw the spark plug (pay attention to sealing ring) into the engine by
hand and tighten using the socket wrench. Press on spark plug connector. Replace
the spark plug annually.
