Explanation
When the printer is reset, there is paper at PS2 sensor, or
Paper did not reach PS3 sensor before specified time passed after the paper reached PS2.

is fed (then the problem may on PS2
sensor, else on PS3 or feeding
mechanism)?

Remove the rear cover, then check
damages or pinches of wires,
cables, and connectors between
CN23 on the mechanism controller
PCB and the sensor PS3.

jam still occur?
Yes
Open the right
cover, then check the
transfer roller (pre-regist roller). Is
there something clogging at the
pre-regist roller, or the drive belt
coming off or
twisted?
Yes
Remove anything
clogging at the feed
unit, install the belt
correctly.
No Does this
jam still occur?
Yes
Is there
unrepairable
damage on the drive belt of
the pre-regist
roller?
Yes
Replace the belt.

Open the upper right

at the PS2 sensor (paper
pieces, etc.)?

Remove anything
clogging at the
sensor.
