  • Page 2 Advice from the experts Spare screws are included with each part. Occasionally, you may be instructed to keep spare or unused screws for a later stage. Keep these spares in a safe place and label them correctly. Please make sure you don’t mix up the screws. They look quite similar, but the threads do vary slightly.
  • Page 3 Stage 83: Fitting the Headlights to the Front Body For the first stage of this pack, you’ll mount the headlights into the front body assembly and fit the hook for holding the bonnet grille in place. The parts supplied with this stage can be stored away until they are needed later.

  • Page 8 Stage 84: Attaching the Bonnet Hinges In this stage you’ll attach the hinges for the front and rear of the body. You’ll also add a small detail to the bonnet reinforcement structure for holding the bonnet grille in place. The parts supplied with this stage can be stored away until they are needed later.

The body of the light has two protrusions (top image, arrows) for fitting into the two recesses of the lens (inset, arrows). Align the protrusions and recesses then press the parts together.

  • Page 18 Stage 87: Installing the Front Body Grilles For this stage you’ll fit the front grilles into the body assembly. Take care when handling the front grille as there are sharp edges! The parts supplied with this stage can be stored away until they are needed later.
  • Page 19 Stage 87: Installing the Front Body Grilles The front grille that you received with Stage 84 has some sharp edges: The holes highlighted in step 1 correspond with the seven pins (circled) to avoid possible injury, handle it with the care. Note the seven fixing on the support.
  • Page 20 Stage 87: Installing the Front Body Grilles Carefully press the pins of the support into the holes of the front body. Do not put pressure on the grille to avoid damaging it. Once in place, the support will not be flush with the profile of the bonnet, but will protrude slightly.

Store it away for now, as you’ll finish working on the grilles for the front body assembly. The parts supplied with this stage can be stored away until they are needed later.

You’ll also prepare the brake lights by fitting their reflectors into the housings. The parts supplied with this stage can be stored away until they are needed in the final pack.
