performed by a FLEX Factory Service Center
or Authorized FLEX Service Station.
REPLACING THE WORN BACKING PAD
(FIG. 9A & FIG. 9B)
a. Detach the battery pack.
b. Remove the attached worn sanding disc if
necessary.
c. Loosen the 4 bolts with a Hexagon spline
screwdriver (not included). Remove them
together with the backing pad (Fig. 9a).
d. Align the mounting holes in the new backing
pad with the ones on the bearing base and
place it onto the bearing base (Fig. 9b).
Secure it with the 4 bolts.
NOTICE: Keep the sander in a stable position
and place the new backing pad carefully onto
the bearing base. Remove the backing pad
and readjust the bearing base if necessary.

all fasteners and caps and do not operate this

your power tool. Wipe clean with a dry cloth.
