13-16. Wash Basin Specifications

Install a wash basin nearby the processor to keep it clean and to mix film processing solutions.

The wash basin should be at least 700mm (2.3 ft) long, 500mm (1.64 ft) wide and 200mm (0.66
ft) deep.

The basin should be made of material highly resistant to concentrated acid and alkaline
solutions. We recommend either stainless steel (SUS 304, 316) or hard polyethylene.

We also recommend a hot water line, since the processing racks are much easier to clean
thoroughly with warm water.

Also use a wash basin with a plug, since heavily soiled racks are best cleaned by soaking them
in warm water.
