3.1.2.1. Mapping Physical Values to Integer-Type Variables

Most industrial measuring devices use 16-bit integers to convert a value from a data source to a
real physical value, such as the voltage, temperature, or relative humidity. For example, using the
range -32768 to 36767 to convert to -10V to +10V. The iKAN series device is able to perform data
mapping to translate an integer value that has been read from a remote data source to a readable
physical value.
