Saving and Restoring the Configuration

When you upgrade the Application Gateway, all of your configuration
settings, including uploaded certificates and licenses, are automatically
restored.
The Device Definitions File (DDF), managed in Design Studio, is not
saved as a part of the configuration. You will need to back it up manually.
If you reinstall the Application Gateway software, you must manually
restore your configuration settings.
Before using the CD to reinstall the Application Gateway software, save
your configuration. Reinstalling the Application Gateway software
returns the Application Gateway to its pre-configured state.
If you have saved your configuration settings, as described in this topic,
you can easily restore them.
To save the Application Gateway configuration:
In the Administration Tool, go to the Administration > Maintenance
page.
Click Save Config.
The entire Application Gateway configuration, including system files and
certificates, are saved to your computer in a file named
If you have made changes to the DDF file, use Design Studio to save the
DDF file to a local computer.
To restore a saved configuration:
In the Administration Tool, go to the Administration > Maintenance
page.
Across from Upload Server Upgrade or Saved Config., click Browse.
Locate the file named
