8. Slowly add the specified engine oil into the tank.
Important:
Do not overfill.
9. After adding oil, check the oil level.
10. Fully install the dipstick and ensure that it latches
(Figure 38).

Changing the Engine Oil and Filter
Note:
Dispose of the used oil at a recycling center.
1. Start the engine and let it run for 5 minutes.
Note:
This warms the oil so that it drains better.
2. Park the machine so that the drain side is slightly
lower than the opposite side to ensure that the
oil drains completely.
3. Disengage the blade-control switch (PTO) and
engage the parking brake.
4. Shut off the engine, remove the key, and wait
for all moving parts to stop before leaving the
operating position.
5. Open the oil-fill cap.
