Shutting Down the Analyzer
Powering down without going through the soft-shutdown process may corrupt
the operating software.
NOTE
To shut down the analyzer:
1. Click the Exit button on the User Interface Control Bar (see Figure 25).
2. A pop-up box appears in the Main Panel and prompts you to verify that you want to
shut down the analyzer (see Figure 26): This prevents unintentional button presses from
causing interruption in data acquisition.
3. Click the OK button to stop data acquisition, close the current data file, and display the
shutdown screen.
4. When the You may turn off the instrument message displays (Figure 27), you can safely
shut off power to the analyzer: Flip the power switch on the front panel of the analyzer
to OFF (see Figure 2).
