Data Interface Connection Ports

This section describes the data interface connections shown in Figure 3. These connections vary
depending on the ordered configuration.
USB ports:
o Two on the front panel for general use (for example, USB peripherals, memory
stick). (See Figure 2.)
o Two on the rear panel to power the TP-Link router.
Ethernet port – Connects the analyzer to a local area network (LAN) and allows remote
access and the data directory using an external computer. For MobileGuard™ systems,
the Ethernet port is connected to a wireless router.
Serial Out: (9-pin D-sub serial input) – For real-time digital measurement output.
Serial Aux: (9-pin D-sub serial input) – Connects peripheral serial devices to the
analyzer's data logger.
Humidity Sensor: (4-pin LEMO) - Connection for a humidity sensor to measure the
temperature and percent humidity of the ambient air.
GPS Sensor: (TNC) - Connects a GPS antenna to the GPS receiver mounted on the lid of
the analyzer.
Anemometer: (9-pin D-sub serial input) – Connects an anemometer or other serial
devices to the analyzer's data logger.
Anemometer Power 12 V DC, 3 A: (power barrel) – Coaxial power connection to
anemometer.
VGA (Video Graphics Array) port: (15 pin D-sub) – Connects an external monitor to the
analyzer.

Pump Power

The 11.5-15 V DC 15 A pump power connector is on the rear panel of the analyzer (see Figure 3).
The analyzer pump is powered using the vehicle battery.
The battery voltage must be in the range of 11.5-15 volts DC with a continuous discharge rate to
power 220 watts (or higher).
For information on powering the analyzer pump using a vehicle battery, refer to the
MobileGuard™ System Manual.

Plumbing Diagram

The internal flow of gas through the analyzer is shown in Figure 5.
