Operator Safety

The analyzer is a Class 1 laser instrument with the case cover closed for normal operation and
presents no risk to the operator. There are no user-serviceable parts inside the analyzer, and the
case should only be opened by factory-trained personnel. Modifying the analyzer to operate
with the case cover open may injure personnel.

Heavy Object

Do not hand-carry the analyzer: To move the analyzer to its final mounting site,
it is recommended to use a wheeled table or have at least two people lift the
analyzer.
WARNING!
When lifting the analyzer:
Use proper lifting techniques:
o Do not lift with your legs straight or from a forward-bent position.
o Bend your knees and lower your hips, using your leg muscles to lift.
o Make sure you stay as close to the load as possible.
Test the load to make sure that you are able to lift it safely. If so, lift the load while
keeping it as close to your body as possible.
Avoid sudden movements and NEVER twist your body. A bending and twisting motion
could cause the discs in your spine to rupture. If you must turn the analyzer, make sure
that your hips and shoulders are always aligned; move your feet first so that you face
the area where you can safely put down the load.
