Start the transfer.

Like all patient lifters, the Poweo® is not a transport device. It must be used only for
short distance transfers and is not intended to replace wheelchairs or other types of
transport.
Position the patient as low as possible during the transfer, in order to lower the
centre of gravity and ensure maximum stability. Use the lifter carefully to minimize
swinging, especially if the lifter and patient are close to any furniture.
Lower the patient until completely seated. The thigh supports should remove easily.

Transferring to the toilet
1. The patient can be undressed while being suspended
above the toilet.
2. While lowering, use the patient's knees to gently position
him correctly on the toilet.
Do not lower the patient completely. The patient should
remain supported by the suspension while seated on the
toilet in order to compensates for the lack of torso stability. 

3. Constantly check the comfort of the user.
From wheelchair to bath
The Poweo® 140 - 180 Quick Up can be used to transfer the patient to a bathroom and depose
him on the bath, on the chair or in the shower trolley.
