Configuring Your Cayman 2E-H-W
3-28
After you have made this change, you will need to include
this port number when you open a Telnet connection to the
Cayman 2E-H-W. For example, if you change the Telnet port
to 1023 on a Cayman 2E-H-W using its default IP address
(
192.168.1.254
device by entering
window or command line.
3. Use the NAT Default Host radio buttons to specify
whether you want your Cayman 2E-H-W to send NAT
traffic it would otherwise drop to a host on your
network.
The NAT default host function is useful in situations where you
cannot create a specific NAT pinhole for a traffic stream because
you cannot anticipate what port number an application might
use. For example, some network games select arbitrary port
numbers when a connection is being opened. By identifying
your computer (or another host on your network) as a NAT
default server, you can specify that NAT traffic that might
otherwise be discarded by the Cayman 2E-H-W should be
directed to a specific host.
4. Use the Default Host Address field to specify the IP
address of the internal host to which NAT traffic
should be directed.
5. If you are finished, click the Save button to store your
modified configuration in the Cayman 2E-H-W
memory.
6. Enter an identifier for the pinhole table entry in the
Name field.
You can identify table entries by protocol name (
