MINOR FAULT DETECTION

Minor faults are a type of the protection function that do not operate the fault contact
output and are automatically returned to their original status once the cause of the
minor fault has been removed.
The Digital Operator display blinks.
Take appropriate countermeasures according to the table below.

APPENDIX 2 PROTECTIVE AND DIAGNOSTIC
Probable Causes
See causes for AUv, FdVe, SrC,
and UV3 faults.
The regenerative energy from
the motor is too large.
The power supply voltage is too
high.
The ambient temperature is too
high.
There is a heat source nearby.
The cooling fan of the power re-
generative unit has stopped.
The load is too heavy.
An external fault was input from
An external fault was input from
a multi-function input.
Corrective Actions
Check the capacity of the power
regenerative unit. (Increase the
capacity.)
Decrease the voltage so it is
within specifications.
Install a cooling unit.
Remove the heat source.
Replace the cooling fan. (Con-
tact your YASKAWA representa-
tive.)
Check the size of the load.
S Reset external fault inputs to
the multi function inputs.
the multi-function inputs.
S Remove the cause of the exter-
nal fault.
