IMPORTANT
WITH THE SIDE STAND IN THE DOWN
POSITION, THE ENGINE CAN ONLY
BE STARTED IF THE GEARBOX IS IN
NEUTRAL. IF AN ATTEMPT TO PUT
MOTORCYCLE IN GEAR, THE ENGINE
WILL SHUT OFF.
WITH THE SIDE STAND RAISED, IT IS
POSSIBLE TO START THE ENGINE
WITH THE GEARBOX IN NEUTRAL OR
IN A GEAR WITH THE CLUTCH LEVER
ENGAGED.
•
Get onto the vehicle in riding po-
sition.
•
Make sure that the stand has
been retracted completely.
•
Make sure that the light switch
(1) is positioned to low beam
lights.
•
Position the engine stop switch
(2) to RUN.
•
Turn the key (3) and turn the ig-
nition switch to ON.

At this stage:
•
The start up screen will appear
on the multifunction display for 2
seconds.
•
All of the warning lights (4) and
the backlighting will turn on for 2
seconds on the panel.
•
The RPM meter (5) will go to the
bottom of the scale for 3 sec-
ATTENTION
LA BÉQUILLE LATÉRALE ABAISSÉE,
LE MOTEUR NE PEUT ÊTRE DÉMAR-
RÉ QUE SI LE SÉLECTEUR DE VITES-
SES EST AU POINT MORT. DANS CE
CAS-LÀ, SI L'ON ESSAYE DE PASSER
UNE VITESSE, LE MOTEUR S'ÉTEINT.
LA BÉQUILLE LATÉRALE SOULE-
VÉE, IL EST POSSIBLE DE DÉMAR-
RER LE MOTEUR LORSQUE LE SÉ-
LECTEUR DE VITESSES EST AU
POINT MORT OU LORSQU'UNE VI-
TESSE EST PASSÉE ET QUE LE LE-
VIER D'EMBRAYAGE EST ACTIONNÉ.
•
Monter sur le véhicule en posi-
tion de conduite.
•
Vérifier que la béquille soit com-
plètement soulevée.
•
S'assurer que l'inverseur de
feux (1) soit en position de feux
de croisement.
•
Positionner sur « RUN » l'inter-
rupteur d'arrêt du moteur (2).
•
Tourner la clé (3) et placer l'in-
terrupteur d'allumage sur ON.
Arrivé à ce point :
•
La page-écran de l'allumage ap-
paraît sur l'afficheur multifonc-
tions pendant 2 secondes.
•
Tous les voyants (4) et le rétro-
éclairage s'allument sur le ta-
bleau de bord pendant 2 secon-
des.
