DEPARTMENT CODES

Department Codes allow employees to change Departments or Jobs throughout
the course of a workday. Department Codes could be used when an employer
wants to capture time by job and employee versus employee alone. An employ-
ee would swipe when leaving one department (or job) to start working under a
new department (or job).
Note: Department codes are not a standard feature on all models, but can
be purchased separately by calling Pyramid at 888-479-7264.
You can access the Department Code feature via. WORK RULES on the vertical
icon bar.
You must select the box ENABLE DEPARTMENT CODE ENTRY AT
THE TIME RECORDER(S) in order to use this feature.
Select ADD and assign a numeric code (maximum 4-digit) for each department.
Enter a text description for each department. Select Save and enter the remain-
ing Department Codes. Next, go to employee details and assign a primary
Department Code for each employee in the DEPT field.
If you have Department Codes activated – when your employee clocks IN and
OUT – their default Department Code will populate. Use the keypad to select
the appropriate department.
