CHANGING PAYROLL GROUPS:

TimeTrax does not allow you to move an employee from one payroll group to
another. To do so, you must follow the instructions below:
• Finish out the current pay period.
Note: Changing a payroll group during an existing pay period may impact the
integrity of your data.
• Inactivate the employee record. Click on the "Edit" button in the Employee
Detail Screen and check "inactive" in the address box. Next, delete the Emp#
for this record and save the changes.
• Select the new Payroll Group that the employee will belong to. Select Add
and enter a new employee record for the employee from the Employee Detail
screen. The new employee must use the same emp#, the one from the now
inactive record, first name, last name and middle initial. In addition, you must
assign the employee a different card number than the one used in the previous
Payroll Group.
• Once you save the record, you will get the Duplicate Employee Warning
screen shown below:
• Select OK and the following confirmation screen will appear. You must type
YES to allow the duplicate employee name.
