5.4.1

Overview of the regulatory CLM process

The overall regulatory approval process flow for end-products includes the following checkpoints:
1. Customer receives the MFG firmware for radio testing.
2. Customer creates the test plan and prepares the samples for regulatory testing. See also
JODY-W1 radio test guide, application note [11].
3. Test lab takes measurements and records the maximum passing output powers.
4. Test lab creates a test report with passing output power and results.
5. Customer submits the list of countries and power tables to u-blox or Infineon.
6. Infineon creates the product specific CLM. This process typically takes around one week.
7. A new CLM will be released if changes to the power levels are needed or the country list is
updated.
