Earth grounding is recommended, but optional for the MX150. The device functions
normally without earth grounding. Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electrostatic
discharge (ESD) requirements are met by the chassis. The AC power cord provides surge
protection.
To connect MX150 to earth ground, you must use the protective earthing terminal on the
device chassis. See
