Rear brake pump - combined
Removal
To remove the brakeforce distribution mechanism, proceed as follows:
•
Remove the shield back plate.
•
Drain off the braking system.
NOTE
MARK THE BRAKE PIPES TO PREVENT INCORRECT REFITTING.
•
Undo and remove the two screws «1»
to release both brake pipes.
•
Remove the rubber protection cover
from the bleed valve «2» and unscrew
the valve.
•
Unscrew the nut «3» to release the
brake pipe.
•
Unscrew and remove the two screws
«4» fixing the distribution mechanism
to the chassis.
•
Remove the distribution mechanism.
Locking torques (N*m)
M6 screw fixing brake pipe splitter to chassis 12 (8.88 ftlb)
Refitting
•
Refit the brake pipes once the copper
gaskets have been replaced.
•
Fasten the brake pipes with three
clamps at the points indicated in the
pictures.
•
Purge the braking system.
CAUTION
BRAKE PIPES MAY GET DAMAGED IF THEY ARE INCOR-
RECTLY LAID.
