Connection of the High Vacuum Flange

If the rotor stops suddenly, the resulting torque must be absorbed by the hardware
fastening the high vacuum flange.
Bolts or hardware must meet the specification below.
It is mandatory to connect the pump in such a way to withstand the torque
WARNING
specified in the "TPS-mobile Mounting" section. Specifically pay attention
to clamp design, material of clamps and bolts and bolt fixing torque.
Use only high resistance class clamps (or bolts) ≥ 8.8.
If the pump is fastened on a vacuum chamber with flanges different from
WARNING
those recommended by Agilent, there is the chance of the TPS-mobile
twisting or tearing-off in case the rotor suddenly stops. The combination
of different flange types is not allowed. Agilent will not accept any liability
for all damages resulting from improper fastening.
