Possible cause
Paper front sensor failure
Break of flexible flat cable between
the KY-763 board and MA-201
board, or the disconnection of
connector.
KY-763 board failure
Break of harness between the
SE-1143 and SE-1142 board,
between the SE-1142 and SW-1703
board or between the SW-1703
board and MA-201 board, or the
disconnection of connector
SE-1143 board failure
Paper is stuck in the unit.
The unit is used under the environ-
ment of abnormally high (low)
temperature.
Break of flexible flat cable between
the thermal head and MA-201 board,
or the disconnection of connector
Head thermistor failure
The unit is used under the environ-
ment of high temperature.
Head thermistor failure
MA-201 board failure
Remedy
Check the paper front sensor.
Check if there is not any break in the
cable, and if the connector is not
disconnected.
Check the KY-763 board. If the
symptom persists, replace it. (Refer
to Section 3-5.)
Check if there is not any break in the
harness, and if the connector is not
disconnected.
Check the SE-1143 board. If the
symptom persists, replace it. (Refer
to Section 3-4.)
Check the paper transport system.

Check if there is not any break in the
cable, and if the connector is not
disconnected.
Replace the thermal head. (Refer to
Section 3-9.)

Replace the thermal head. (Refer to
Section 3-9.)
Check the MA-201 board. If the
symptom persists, replace it. (Refer
