To change the "COUNTRY CODE" or
"SET LEVEL," press ENTER to bring up the
associated pull-down menu when
pointing the desired item.
To select the ite m to be set, use 5/∞ w hen no pull-
do w n m enu is sho w n.

Use 5/∞ to select the desired option and
press ENTER.
N ote that if you change the country code, you m ust
reselect the Parental Lock level.

With pointing to [PASSWORD], enter a 4-
digit password using the numeric buttons (0 to
9).
The passw ord entered in this step beco m es the
ne w passw ord. If you want to keep the sa m e
passw ord as before, enter the sa m e passw ord you
did in step 2. Do not forget to enter a passw ord
after changing the country code and/or parental
level. Otherwise, the ne w country code and/or
parental level will not take effect.

Press ENTER.

Pressing E NTER again returns to the " OTHERS "
m enu of the preference display.
NOTES
• If you enter the wrong password more than 3 times in
step 2 above, moves to [EXIT] automatically and
5/∞ do not work.
• If you forget your password in step 2

can set a ne w passw ord.

If the parental level is set to a strict value, so m e discs
m ay not play at all. W hen you insert such a disc and try
to play it, the follo wing Parental Lock on-screen display
appears on the TV screen, asking you w hether you want
the Parental Lock to be te m porarily released or not.

Use the 5/∞ to move

Enter your 4-digit password using the numeric
buttons (0 to 9).
The Parental Lock is released, and the unit starts
playback.
If you enter the wrong passw ord, " WRO N G!
RETRY..." appears on the TV screen.
Enter the correct passw ord.

• When you enter the wrong password more than 3 times
in step 2 above,
automatically and 5/∞ do not work.
