The unit starts rando m playback.
With a Video CD/SVCD disc, the m enu bar is
auto m atically dismissed.
During rando m playback, the RA N D O M indicator
lights in the display windo w on the front panel.
After playing all tracks of the disc, the unit stops the
disc and exits the rando m m ode.
• The sa m e track will not be played back m ore than once
during rando m play.
• During rando m playback, if you bring up the m enu bar and
carry out steps 1 to 3 above, the unit cancels rando m
playback m ode and continues playback fro m the current
selection in the recorded order.
• To stop and quit random playback
Press 7 . The unit stops playback and exits the
rando m playback m ode.
NOTE
• To dismiss the menu bar:
Press O N SCREE N.

Repeat playback

You can repeat playback of the current title/chapter (for
DVD VIDE O), or current/all tracks (for A udio CD/Video CD/
SVCD).
You can also repeat playback of a desired part.

Press REPEAT.
Each tim e you press REPE AT, the repeat m ode
cycles a m ong All repeat, Repeat 1 and off.
The selected m ode is reflected in icons displayed in
the front panel display windo w, as sho w n belo w.
If you press REPE AT w hile stopped, you need to
press 3 to start repeat playback.
REPE AT: Repeats the current title for DVD VIDE O
or all tracks for A udio CD/Video CD/
SVCD.
REPE AT1: Repeats the current chapter for DVD
VIDE O or the current track for A udio CD/
Video CD/SVCD.
N o indication: The repeat m ode is off.

A windo w w hich indicates the current repeat m ode
will be displayed on the TV screen.
The m ode indication on the windo w is sa m e as the
one on the m enu bar (see pages 37 and 38).

• To stop repeat playback
Press 7 .
W hen a DVD VIDE O disc is set, the unit stops playback
and quits the repeat m ode.
W hen an A udio CD, Video CD or SVCD disc is set, the
unit stops playback but does not quit the repeat m ode.
• To quit repeat playback
Press REPE AT until the repeat m ode indicator goes off
in the display windo w.
