Changing the initial settings
Limiting playback by
children
This function restricts playback of DVD VIDE O discs
w hich contain violent (and other) scenes according to the
level set by the user. For exa m ple, if a m ovie w hich
includes violent scenes supports the parental lock
feature, such scenes w hich you do not want to let
children vie w can be cut or replaced with other scenes.
W hen PARE NTAL LO CK is set in the OTHERS m enu of the
Preference display (see page 53), pressing E NTER on the
re m ote control unit brings up the PARE NTAL LO CK
display sho w n follo wing. This allo ws you to set limits on
DVD VIDE O playback.
