b. Check that the outboard motor does not tilt
up or down when the tilt lock lever "1" is in
the lock position "a".

c. Fully tilt the outboard motor up, and then
support it using the tilt support knob "1".
Check that the tilt support knob locks in
place properly.

2. Check:
• Steer the tilted-up outboard motor.
Interference  Check the hose and wire
harness routing, or mounting of the out-
board motor.
