3. Install:
• Crankshaft pin bearing "1" (into the con-
necting rod "2" and connecting rod cap "3")
TIP:
• Install the crankshaft pin bearings in the orig-
inal positions.
• Install the protrusions "a" of the crankshaft pin
bearing into the grooves "b" on the connect-
ing rod "2" and connecting rod cap "3".

4. Install:
• Piston

a. Apply engine oil to the side of the piston,
piston rings, and cylinder wall, and then in-
stall the piston so that the "UP" mark on the
piston crown is facing toward the flywheel
magneto end of the crankshaft.

5. Install:
• Crankshaft journal bearing "1" (into the cyl-
inder block "2")
TIP:
• Install the crankshaft journal bearings "1" in
their original positions.
• Align the oil holes "a" in the crankshaft journal
bearings "1" with the oil holes "b" in the cylin-
der block "2", and then install the crankshaft
journal bearings "1" so that the specified dis-
tances "c", "d", "e", and "f" are obtained.
