Retest SA
The SA analyzer provides an immediate option to retest the sample without any additional
patient entry. The retest function is only available for the SA test. If a UA test was also
completed during the original test run, the UA results will be saved and displayed with the new
SA test values.

If a retest on the SA is not desired, just click "Save". If a retest is desired, the initial SA data will
be saved to the Database, but not auto printed.
1. Click Retest button; all the inputs to the sample will automatically be populated. Patient
ID and Species are unchangeable. All other inputs can be revised and comments can be
added.
2. Select Dilution if necessary:
Dilute the sample and select correct dilution. Undiluted is the default setting and
appropriate for all samples prior to initial analysis, as overdiluting the sample should be
avoided. After reviewing the numerical sediment results and 96 images provided by the
SA on the initial sediment analysis, a dilution may need to be performed if clinical insight
cannot be gathered from the images
