Note: Selecting reduced guard does not set the alarm permanently to reduced guard. It
sets it to reduced guard only for the current locking cycle.
Arming the Alarm
To arm the alarm, lock your vehicle. See
Doors and Locks (page 37).
Disarming the Alarm
Vehicles Without Keyless Entry
Disarm and silence the alarm by unlocking
the doors with the key and switching your
vehicle on with a correctly coded key or
unlocking the doors with the remote
control.
Vehicles with Keyless Entry
Note: A valid passive key must be located
within the detection range of that door for
keyless entry.
Disarm and silence the alarm by unlocking
the doors and switching your vehicle on or
unlocking the doors with the remote
control.

ALARM
(If Equipped)
The perimeter alarm is a deterrent against
unauthorized access to your vehicle
through the doors and the hood. If the
alarm is triggered, the alarm horn sounds
and the hazard flasher flashes.
Take all remote controls to an authorized
dealer if there is any potential alarm
problem with your vehicle.

Action and Description
If you wish to arm the alarm with full guard, leave your vehicle
without pressing the OK button.

The alarm arms when you lock your
vehicle. See Doors and Locks (page 37).
