Specks appear on glossy paper

Possible causes
The media weight is set
incorrectly.

Black or white dots appear

Possible causes
If the interval is
approximately 63 mm, the
green tube of the image
drum is scratched or dirty.
If the interval is
approximately 26 mm, dirt
enters the charging roller
inside the image drum.

Stains are printed

Possible causes
The paper is moist.
The paper transfer path or fuser
unit is dirty due to collection of
paper dust, glue, etc.
Solution
Set an appropriate value for
[Media Weight] in the user-
defined paper settings of the
printer driver. Alternatively,
increase the setting value for
[Media Weight].
If you do not use the printer
driver, click [MENUS] - [FEEDER
CONFIG] - [MEDIAWEIGHT] on
the operator panel, and set an
appropriate value. Alternatively,
increase the setting value for
[MEDIAWEIGHT].
Solution
Gently wipe it with soft tissue
paper.
Replace the image drum if it is
damaged.
Open and close the top cover or
feeder cover, and print again.
If the problem persists, replace
the image drum.
Solution
Replace with new paper.
Clean the paper transfer path or
fuser unit.
