Printed characters may not be completely formed if paper residue, dust, or a similar
material is present. To ensure proper printing, remove any paper residue and dust
on the paper holder, paper transport components, platen roller, and surface of the
thermal head. Cleaning is required monthly.
In particular, if the printer uses full-sheet label paper in full cutting mode, any
adhesive matter adhering to the paper ejecting part of the paper guide may cause a
paper ejection error. Using an alcohol solvent, remove adhesive matter periodically
from the paper guide.
- Recommended cleaning cycle: For a minimum cutting interval of 15 mm, clean the
paper guide each time that printing on one or two rolls (about 5000 cuts) is
completed.
Note: Do not use a solvent other than ethyl or isopropyl alcohol.
